NOVELS OF THE RURAL SOUTH

Discipline is not the enemy of enthusiasm.

Require Discipline of yourself before you require it of others.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go”.

Joshua 1:9

A word of welcome

Thanks for stopping by.

The world has become such a busy place, so busy that most people either don’t have the time to read a book or a blog or, they just don’t want to. The fact that you have landed here is a blessing that I don’t take lightly. You have choices on how and where you spend your time so, thank you for spending a few minutes with me.

Chasing dreams and reaching goals is difficult for most of us. For some folks like me, the fear of reaching for something that seems “out of reach” or just too far-fetched to pursue can cause what I like to call “mental paralysis”. To me, that’s where you know what you want to do but you can’t seem to find the courage to take the first step, the most difficult one.

I hope that our connection can inspire or encourage anyone that spends a few minutes with me either reading my blogs or my stories to do what your heart and dreams tells you to do but your brain has placed pad locks on your knees. You can do a lot more than you think, you just have to take the first step.

Angel in the Ozarks

In the shadow of the Ozark Mountains, the tiny logging town of Dogwood Springs, Arkansas, clings to three unbreakable pillars: An unshakeable faith in God, the fierce love of a close-knit community, and the Friday night roar of high school football. The only man left to lead the team is Josh Beckett, a battle hardened Marine just home from active duty. In Dogwood Springs, miracles don’t always look like miracles, sometimes they look like second chances.
